dear oculus I just would like to say how much I love my quest 1 and I remember you saying that it has the capabilities for 90HZ but won’t officially assign it due to battery reasons. My proposition is this, I know that you have completely fased out the quest 1 and I understand if you don’t want any to add features to it anymore but i would really like 90HZ support over link Becuase most Pc’s would probably be able to do that and the difference is night and day
don't hold your breath, just cause something is "capable" doesn't mean it should. The devs don't owe it to anyone to putt that much risk in to the programing and optimization for something that can sustain the load.
You want 90 hz upgrade. Otherwise enjoy how much performance it can handle.
Everyone knows (or should know) that the Q1 would require FCC recertification to allow for 90Hz refresh rate. This appears to be something that Oculus has not done yet. Impossible to say for sure that this will or will not happen in the future. Probably not likely but with Oculus you never know, lol!
