Question about the display. You've probably already answered it in your post but I don't get what SDE etc means.
I find the display ever so slightly blurry, a bit like an old CRT TV. Is this what it supposed to look like? I was expecting it to look as sharp as a HD display but perhaps my expectations were incorrect?
I wear glasses too and with the spacer, so wondered if it was a setting I had missed or something. Or if I didn't need the spacer at all.

Great writeup. I can see how people will be divided on the controllers. I noticed that the Quest controllers are "'lighter" than the Rift controllers. I held them both at the same time, and the Rift controllers are clearly more weighted. I prefer the lighter Quest controllers for that reason, since it is less strain on the wrist during long VR sessions. I get a lot of wrist fatigue since I've been writing software for 20 years! The Quest controllers feel practically hollow. I think that also contributes to their tendency to "roll" against the weight of the ring.As for SDE, I didn't notice any at all. But that might be due to actively using my Rift for 3 years straight. I think my eyes automatically block out SDE at this point.

One strange problem I have with the new Touch controllers is sometimes I put them in the wrong hands. Not sure why but I did a few times now, so I use pass through to make sure there in the right hands now 🙂
