For those that already have batteries for Quest, it's a no-brainer. For those that don't it's more of a quandry - but my batteries - a 5,000mAh and a 10,000mAh plus the elite strap are waaay cheaper than the elite + battery strap and do a damn good job.
Even with the 5,000 battery I get in 5 hour seshes easily and nowhere near expended headset battery.
I’m a mom new to all of this I was looking at purchasing the elite strap with battery included but I see it’s no longer available so what will be my other options for a more comfortable headset and longer play time for my son to actually enjoy it.
Personally, I'm waiting for third party options. Especially with the reports of the Elite straps breaking. Also, I've seen a few people using third party USB batteries in a way that seems easy and cheap. Most third party straps for the previous generation are less expensive, and with a third party battery as well, I think it's likely that a complete set will be half the price of the Elite with battery.
