Game sharing?

Hi folks,

Looking to get a second quest 2 for my wife but appears from multiple threads I have read here, it’s very “hit and miss” on set up and workability when it comes to game sharing.  As at todays date have there been any updates to improve on this or is it still in “testing phase”?  So many threads / posts with problems sharing games it kind of puts me off buying a second quest2.  Main solution so far seems to be buy the second quest2 and all the games again!!?  No thanks!

Is there a simple solution to game sharing (family sharing)?

I bought a Quest 2 for my wife and set myself up on it as the main account. Then I just followed the instructions for setting up a secondary account and app sharing and it has all worked smoothly since then. Most games are shareable. I've heard there are a few exceptions (i.e. Beat Sabre) but all the apps I have bought in the regular Oculus store are shared with her. The notable exception is AppLab apps. Those cannot be shared. A free one can of course just be acquired directly by her (Puzzling Places comes to mind), but paid AppLab apps need to be paid again then. Maybe Oculus will change that in the future. I've asked them, but the helpdesk person didn't know anything about it. Still, it's great to be able to play games together and that she has her own scores on things like Synth Riders. So my experience has been very good, just so you know. 🙂

Can you play multiplayer games simultaneously ?

such as bowling or  fpS  games ??
