I'm new to the Quest 2 and am loving it, but the library of games seems a bit barren. If I could describe a couple of games/apps that I don't think exist yet it would be these...
1) No Google Earth on Quest 2? So shocked to found this out. (I know I can link to PC etc, but I purchased the Quest 2 to be completely stand-alone).
2) Think of the movie Avatar, I just want to wander around a forest that glows and watch weird animals and plants. The scenery in Avatar is so compelling. It doesn't even need to be a game, just a wander around in a beautiful place.
3) A planetarium. I want to lean back on my sofa and stare into space looking at start and constellations. I don't want to zoom around space, just lie there and take it all in.
4) The canoeing part of the National Geographic app/game is just brilliant. Can I request a game where I just canoe around amazing areas?
Maybe over time these things will come - I'm just genuinely surprised they don't exist on the official Oculus store yet. Please let me know if I'm mistaken and have missed them! Thanks v much 🙂

1-Wander is quest 2 counter part. it would really be hard to put google earth on quest 2 without a pc being able to render
2-Bogo and ecosphere can give the great scope of this
3-spheres, homestar vr, and titans of space, along with mission iss and other apps can do this
4-covert ops but you get to kill bad guys, also holofit a game that has rowing and shows calories burned.
Unfortunately Google has abandoned VR, so its unlikely they will ever make a new Google Earth for Quest. They never even made a full version for their own Daydream VR platform.
Such a shame, Google Earth VR would be an awesome educational tool.
