Games On My Monitor Instead Of My Headset

Hello everyone, recently I decided to try oculus link for the first time. When loading it up everything is black with only a guardian. When I start a game it will show on my monitor and follow my headset movements, but not show up on my headset. I would appreciate some help. Thanks!

did you click enable link? 

Open the pc app

turn on the headset without the link cable plugged in

plug the link cable in after you see the home screen

deny the files to be allowed

then enable link.

it should open rift s home screen in your headset

Thanks for the comment. However, when I plug in the link cable it does not ask me to allow the files.

did you install the pc oculus software and are you link cable and not cable that comes with unit?
