Glasses too big

Dalifano

Hello was thinking about getting an oculus quest 2 but I see that it recommends that the height be under 50 . My question is would my height 53 glasses cause problems (I know it’s higher than the recommended but not by much) ?

Hey Dalifano,

Sadly, 50mm is the max height and that's already pushing it. Make sure you use the eyeglass spacer (included with purchase) no matter what so that you don't scratch your lenses.

However, a lot of us have glasses here at the office and sometimes we have to take our glasses off to play. It doesn't really hinder us too much and we're still able to have a good time! If you can swing it, there is also a prescription lenses option available for purchase here. Overall, we highly recommend it even if you have to take your glasses off.

If the experience really isn't up to snuff then you can always send it back within 30 days for a refund (assuming you don't throw it out your window and break it). Let us know what your thoughts are as we are curious to have an customer's perspective on wearing glasses with Oculus.

We hope this message helped answer your question and that you have a wonderful rest of your day 🙂

Either get prescription lens inserts or buy yourself a cheap pair of prescription lenses with smaller frames from one of the on-line glasses companies.

Also, just in case you don't know, you only need glasses with the Quest if you are short sighted. The lenses focus to around 2.5 metres.
