Does your PC display have HDR enabled?

If it does turn it off.

I had a simular issue when I changed to a new monitor which supported HDR.

Disabling HDR in Windows sorted the blank screen on Oculus Link for me.

what actions do I need to do to disable hdr, I just don't understand

Here is the process for Windows 10

Right click your desktop

Select "display settings" from the menu.

in the Display window that shows up scroll down.

If your display & graphics card support HDR you will see a setting "Play HDR games and Apps"

If it is turned on the button/slider will be blue.

Click it once and it will go while and turn off.

Close the Display Window

Try your Oculus link again and see if that resolves the issue.

I don't seem to have such a function

If you don't see the option for HDR then your display/monitor does not support it and your issue is being caused by something else.

So explain to me what happens when you attempt to connect using Link. step by step if you can.

I would have sent you a video, but there is no way I could send you a video to my mail: hrominvlad2@gmail.com send me an email, I'll send you a video

Couple of quick questions if that is ok? (Sorry if I'm asking you to repeat anything)

  • Model of video card in your PC
  • PC or laptop
  • type of cable you are using for link (connections/length)

Rx 580 4gb

PC, cable usb 3.0 from aliexpress

Very strange it appears my post did not save.

Have you tried using air-link. Its currently a beta feature but if it works you would at least know your headset is ok.

To enable air-link.

  • Open the Oculus app on your PC
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on the Beta Tab
  • Scroll until you find Air-link and turn it on.

You then need to pair your headset

  • Unplug the cable from your Quest
  • Put on your headset
  • Click the Oculus button
  • Select Settings
  • Select Experimental
  • Select Air-Link
  • Click Continue
  • A list of available PC's should show. Select your PC and click PAIR
  • Once paired you can click launch to connect using Air-Link.
