After downloading and installing the Oculus remote desktop, I try to run the software and get the message: "This app can't run on your PC - to find a version for your pc, check with your software publisher".  Can anyone help?  Do I need to get a new computer to use horizon workrooms?  Any insight is much appreciated!!!

PS, this is a Surface Pro 64 bit with windows 10 Pro...

Hey there, user! Thank you for wanting to use Horizon workrooms to make your business life easier! We understand that it hasn't been working for you and asking you to find a PC that it will work with. This article here has the minimum specs that PC's need to run our software. While you aren't using a Oculus link for it, it is the specs to use Workrooms as well. Hope this helps! 🙂

Hey there! After reviewing your specs and looking up your Surface Pro 64 we noticed that Horizon Workrooms won't be able to run on your PC. Unfortunately, it does not meet these minimum requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core-i7-9700K or comparable AMD

  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

  • Graphics Card: GTX 2080 or comparable AMD

  • Storage: Ranging from 50GB to 340GB

  • Wi-Fi: At least 8mbps

We hope this helps clear things up! If you need any more assistance let us know, and we'll do everything we can to help. 😊

@Oculus Community Manager  Actually, if you take a look at this link...

https://support.oculus.com/articles/horizon/getting-started-in-horizon-workrooms/use-computer-in-VR

It clearly states at the bottom of the page that does not support

  • Graphics Card: GTX 2080 or comparable AMD

Please fix your mis-information!  Anyone using Nvidia or AMD will get the "no available devices " message.  This paperweight program supports Intel (low end) desktops only!
