How do I exit a game while playing?

I'm new to all of this. How do I exit a game/experience while in the middle of it? A combination of the controller buttons? Right now I'm just turning the helmet off.

Press the "Oculus" button, on the right controller.  Then choose "Quit" or "Resume."

The other very handy thing is to enable double-tap for passthrough in settings, experimental features.

So, you double-tap the side of your quest and can see the "Real Reality" 🙂

Often you can access the game menu by pressing the menu button on the left controller. From there, you can usually save your progress (depending on the game), and quit (if the option is available). If there is no Quit or Exit function in the menu, then just use the Oculus menu button on the right controller, as @wuzp said, and quit that way.
