I have a problem with oculus link.(USB 3.0/2.0)

Hi all,
I recently got myself the oculus quest 2 but there's a problem. I bought a 5 meter usb 3.0 cable, its USB A to USB-C.
Whenever I plug in the usb cable it sometimes recognizes as 3.0 and sometimes as 2.0 in the oculus app, which is weird. Next to that, whenever I get the oculus quest to recognize as USB 3.0 and I launch oculus link, it crashes the app.

Also when I plug in the quest and it recognizes as USB 3.0, I then have to put on the headset to allow access to data, pressing allow makes the USB 3.0 go to 2.0(Very often, not always).
Right now its reading 2.7GB bandwidth, but if allow access, it just switches back to 2.0.

I have updated my bios, I have disabled USB power saving through device manager, I uninstalled the USB drivers but no avail.

Am I missing something?

is it a quality usb 3 cable or is it what ever was cheapest on amazon. Oculus recommends either their own admittedly expensive cable or to use the powerline II cable from Anker. It isn't expensive but it's not cheap either, I think it was $20 or $30 from amazon.

It is a cheap one but it`s not one of those scammy USB 2.0 disguises, I tried to find something in my house that uses USB C 3.0 to test it out, but couldn`t find anything that represents the Quest 2. Originally I was looking at the Anker cable but it`s only available with the 3 meter(10ft) one.
And yeah I think Oculus is going a bit bonkers with their 100 dollar cable.
Thanks for reaching out btw.

I have the same issue with the recommended anker cable.  The only thing that makes it work consistently is to use an extension cable with it; I use a 16 foot active USB 3 cable.

I tested it with a bunch of different devices and only have issues with the quest.  If you have a short USB 3 extension cable or a USB 3 hub I would try using that.  I've used both with success.
