I'd like to take the time to say how thankful I am, coming into the vr-scape at this point in the timeline of development. I struggled to find a quest when I read about all its launch features, and only about 2 weeks ago managed to locate one being that I live and work for now in guam. The base functionality made the quest worth the money, but literally days into owning it, v12 came out with the hand tracking implementation and while it's not fully integrated into content yet it is an amazing leap. Also the link beta is a phenomenal feature that enables newcomers like myself and hardliners alike to play in the existing oculus library which is outstanding. Not to mention the availability to use through supported or unsupported means, steam vr. The community surrounding the quest is ingenuous and has made innovations in hardware and software alike even mainstreaming sideloading via sidequest and some are even exploring the boundaries of the hardware, expanding the refresh rate or resolution, and this surge of creativity-wow. Even just as I was thinking, man, I wish star trek bridge crew was available for the quest so I could finally play through it the way I always wanted-BOOM, star trek bridge crew released.
So to summarize I want to say thanks to everyone, oculus crew, software deveopers, and enthusiasts within the community, for making this such a memorable transition.
