Lost tracking after waking from standby requiring hard reboot

When I set down the headset to do something and it has gone into standby I get the Tracking Lost message. This occurs the most when I have paused a game for this purpose. That is annoying enough, but the fact that the controllers and hand tracking are locked out requiring the power button be held until it starts the shutdown makes it worse! Why is there no way to force the headset to re-examine the tracking or ignore the tracking loss?

This happens to me to. It happens when I quckly press the power button to put the headset in sleep mode as well. I have been playing in three different rooms, and the same problem allways occurs. I have had two different Quest headsets, and it happens to both headsets. However, I have seen that it does not allways happen. It never happens if the controllers light stay on, that is if the controllers do not get the chance to power off. I experimented with this with my last headset. Also, once I got the message ''tracking lost'' and it could not find the controllers or handtracking, but it only lasted for a second until the cameras registered the controllers and the room. This has happened to me when powering on the headset, and after being in sleep mode for only a short time.

To solve the issue I have set my headset to not sleep before 15 minutes. Usually I do not need longer breaks when playing. And I allways have the controllers in view of the camera when powering on the headset.

I have notified Oculus support, and hopefully other customers do the same and our issues are the same so they can do a quick fix to solve this. It is a very anoying problem.

Thank you , Marius, this has helped greatly!  Hopefully an update will cure it entirely, but the 15min setting is ideal for a non-penalty quick-fix. 🙂

Following. Having the same issue. I need to unlink the cable to make the UI work again. Will try these other ideas
