Microphone loses connection in certain moments/oculus microphone driver issue

Hey there,

I am using the Quest since 2 Weeks now, I am very happy about it overall, but I noticed some problem, that I don't find any solutions online, I also used the search tool before:

- If I use Link, and I go walk physically out of the playground, and back into it (to go for a sip of my beer f.e.), the microphone loses its connection to the pc and the driver somehow starts bugging. This also happens if I let the device on the table for 2 mins. The oculus sound drivers are recognized by the pc, but it shows a frozen soundbar in the Settings for the microphone. The normal sound works completely normal, just the microphone stops working. The only way to fix this is to completely disconnect the quest from the pc, and back to the pc again.

I think this could be a driver issue, and might be possible to fix for the developers, with having the microphone connection always on and one of the other buttons on the quest repurposed with a long button call to have it to mute the microphone in software, but having the microphone connection on all the time, even nothing is spoken (slightly more battery drainage, over less hazzle)

This is quite frustrating, as some games have to be restarted at that point, which makes short breaks a well thought thing and that can break the experience overall.

If anyone has a workaround for this I would be very happy to hear about it, and what do you think of  my solution for it?

Greetings

Edit: Both the VR and the Software on the PC are 17.0v
