So recently, my oculus quest 2 controllers battery has died. I replaced the battery three times, the last one being brand new, it did not connect after. When I started up my oculus, both controllers did not connect. I kept trying to connect and search for articles, non helped. If you know how to fix this issue pls tell me how to, I just wnna play some Rec Room and Vr Chat 😞

Hey there, thanks for reaching out. We see you are having issues with your Quest 2 controllers no longer connecting to your device. Before we move into advanced troubleshooting steps for your issue, we have some questions that will further help us identify the issue.

  • Is your controller turning on or does it not have any power whatsoever?
  • If the controller is on, what LED color light is it showing?
  • Is your mobile app showing the controllers as paired still?
  • Have you tried unpairing the controllers and re-pairing them using your Oculus mobile app?

To unpair a controller:

  1. Open the Oculus app on the phone.
  2. Tap Settings from the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the headset that is currently paired.
  4. Tap Controller, then tap the desired controller to unpair.
  5. Tap Unpair Controller.

If you are able to unpair the controllers, try re-pairing them using the same way.

You can also try rebooting your device, this can be done by holding the power button for 30 seconds until you are asked to reboot the device.

Please let us know if any of these steps work in pairing your controllers back to your device.
