Howdy all! I'm Chris. Just picked me up a quest about 2 weeks ago. Love the thing. Super fun. I have an issue though. I got a chromecast so I could stream to my TV with friends over. It stops streaming almost every time I try. I'm in developer mode, not sure if that matters. Any help with this would be super awesome. Thanks in advance

The casting seems more finicky than it should be. Is your headset falling off of Wifi? Or is it just the casting? Do you have a double-band or mesh router? Quests still have issues with mesh networks.

As Kentobi pointed out, Quests don’t like mesh networks very much.

However, if instead you have a standard dual band router, then make sure both the 5ghz & 2.1ghz bands have a slightly different SSID.
go into the router’s settings & simply rename one (or both)  you can simply add a number or something after one of them as long as the bands don’t have identical names (SSID’s) then it should solve your problem. Make sure your Quest & Chromecast are both on the same WiFi band of course.

Thanks for the help yall. I have a dual band modem. I usually connect to the 2.1 ghz network. 5ghz network has an extra number in the ssid. Been just dropping  casting but last night wifi was getting spotty on the head set. I will mess with the modem a little bit and come back here. Thanks again to the two of ya. Very helpful input
