Notification App Name

The app names seem to be missing now from notifications, since v35 I think. The icons are too small to always see which app is involved. Any way to get the labels back?

Hey @Vinoh, we understand your app titles are missing from your notifications. We definitely know how important these are since the icons can be too small to see sometimes. This is a new one 🤔 so lets start with the basics: reboot your headset to see if that brings them back. 

 

If that doesn't work, try logging out of your Oculus mobile app and then back in. It seems like a weird fix, but sometimes this helps correct library issues. We hope this helps, but if you still aren't seeing the names of the apps let us know. We want to do everything we can to get this issue resolved. 😊

Thanks. Although I had restarted before without success, the app names returned in notifications when I checked after restarting.

I wish I had checked before restarting since I'm not sure that's what fixed it. Oddly enough, other changes appeared after the restart. The settings categories are now arranged in a grid and organized a little differently. It's still on v35 and I didn't select different options so I'm not sure why this happened. Maybe just part of the confusing way updates are delivered to users.

Problem started again. Instead of the app name, the notification title just says Oculus.
