Just tried to use Oculus Link with v26 now I get aggressive stutters and it is completely unplayable. These are even visible in the home environment and the render window for games.
I have the same issue. It is very easy to tell just by listening to the choppy, stuttering audio. You don't even have to be in a game, it is very apparent even in the link home environment.
Quest 1 is unplayable via link all of the sudden. Quest 2 is playable, but the issue is still there. I've been using link for a year and have loved it so much. I've had no hardware changes. I have to avoid using LINK until the issues are resolved, as I have worked tirelessly to try and fix the problem myself.
I have same problem. It start after oculus 25 update and new video card drivers. I have Ryzen 3700x, NVidea 3070 rtx. I solved (NO) this problem, by lowering bitrate to 170 in settings. Image worse, sound good. Help
I got the Quest 2 on Sunday and had no experience with any VR headset so when I could not get the Link to work I was led to believe it was the cable (KIWI) but after buying a different cable (Anker) I had the same issue in that from the PC app is says the Link is there and it can see the headset and touch controllers but on trying to launch Link in the headset I just get 3 dots for a while and then back to the settings menu.
I've been searching online for a solution for three days and only came across your post here and various others saying Link has been broken from V25 a few weeks ago. I checked my headset and from the About page it seems I am on V26.
I only got the Quest 2 so I can have VR in DCS, MSFS, X-Plane and a number of driving sims but currently this is impossible while the Link facility is not working, so I am rather pi$$ed off to say the least. I am sure that after setup of the headset for the first time using the mobile app Link was working, I assume it then got updated to V26 and has been broken from that point on, as such I've wasted 3 days trying to fix a MAJOR problem.
Is there anywhere I can rollback to V23 and get a copy of the Oculus app at V23 and hopefully Link will start working?
I think your problem is different. the link worked for me from very beginning. Unfortunately, I do not know the detailed instructions in England to guide you. Have you completed all the steps to connect your Oculus? You need to install the oculus app on your phone, the oculus app on your PC. I would also advise you to put Steam VR, I think it loads libraries and other things you need to work with the helmet too. All applications must be open with your account. It is also important, I only have 2 working (for Link) usb ports on my PC, and the rest do not respond to the inclusion of the wire. Try another usb port Good luck
Obviously I followed all steps by the book and double triple checked all the USB ports. I got Link working late last night after I uninstalled Quest, Sidequest, VirtualDsktop and manually went thru the registry deleting all keys and values associated to them. I then used a version of the Oculus PC app I downloaded from 16th Feb prior to even ordering my Quest 2. Something in that process fixed Link as it is working 100% now with both my Steam PC programs such as Alien Isolation (mod) and my non-Steam PC programs such as MSFS, DCS and X-Plane.
100% I can confirm that Oculus Link is completely broken following V26.
I've had my Oculus Quest 2 since Jan 21 and Oculus Link has been perfect up until V26. I'm experiencing frequent disconnects, performance issues and general instability. I've changed endless settings on my Oculus and PC with no success.
I don't have any performance issues with Oculus Link as far as playing PC VR games go, however, after v26 it no longer charges my headset when plugged into a Type C to Type C cable. I have to use a Type C to Type A cable in order for the headset to charge when connected to the PC.
