Oculus App continues to generate LAN traffic even when not in use

Greetings, I'm loving my Quest2 and PC hosted VR games!

However, after one fun gaming session I went to check on my host PC while my Q2 headset was off and charging in the other room. With absolutely NOTHING running on the PC, I find the Network meter in Task Manager PEGGED! (its a Gigabit LAN, so upon closer inspection it was really only ~100Mbit of traffic but still!)

I found it very odd in the Task Manager that the Oculus App was sucking up LAN bandwidth even with all games closed and my Q2 shut off. Since I would not be gaming anymore that evening I elected to shut the PC off.

Frankly, I can see that the APP might use some CPU cycles waiting for a Q2 to connect to it however can't resolve why it would chew up LAN bandwidth while otherwise idle.

Can someone from Oculus/Meta explain?
