Hi-new to VR with the Quest. Want to play "Personal Tennis" so ties the Oculus connector idea. This may be silly problem but when I plug cable in and get the datanpop up deny allow Oculus says click deny. On the popup it says look at the selection you want but that does not work to deny. Oculus says use volume up/down button to toggle from allow to deny but that does not work. Tried all the co troller button etc but can not get it to toggle over to deny. Does anyone know how to do this or why I can not do this. It would be nice to get to a point where I can argue about the cable working or not but can not get by this silly pop up.

It's never worked on mine the way they say it should (with looking and volume button) I've always had to use Touch to select what I wanted - and it has sometimes been very difficult to do so. But I always got there in the end, with blind determination. I think I may have rebooted once or twice - but this was after I first got the gear, haven't had such issues since.

Does anyone in the US know why the Quest Link cable is showing up as "Sorry, this isn't available in your country at this time."? A couple days ago it just said "currently sold out." I'm wondering when they'll be available again.

It's not just the US that it says that in by the way, it says the same in the UK now. I'm about to return my official Link cable for a refund because it doesn't work with Thunderbolt 3 ports, I'm half wondering if the fix Oculus said they have for that is actually a new hardware revision rather than a software update and if that's why they're now unavailable.

@MrBMT

I’ve returned mine already for the same reason and I’m also thinking similar to you, see my last post here https://forums.oculusvr.com/community/discussion/84706/the-official-oculus-link-cable-is-not-working...

I just read on another thread, tested, and can confirm that v13 for PC and headset fix my Thunderbolt 3 issues on my Razer Blade Advanced. Originally, I got it to work in reverse (90deg end in the PC) and with a cheap USB-A to USB-C Adapter from Amazon. But now the cable appears to be working as intended on v13.

I think I un-stuck this thread too soon maybe, so here it is again, there are quite a few questions still coming in for this.

Hello all, having some problems after using the debug tool I think. The default steam resolution per eye should be 1440 x 1600 yes? After playing around the last couple of days with various games using 1.2,1.3, 1.4 and the encode settings,  today i tried to revert it back to normal but the steamvr resolution at 100% is saying 1808 x 2000 ? I have tried changing the pixel density back to 0 but I cannot get the default 1440 x 1600 per eye to show back on steam?

I factory reset the quest and reinstalled software on the pc but it is still the same. Any ideas?

Thanks

The native panel resolution is not the default render resolution, it's always a little higher to account for the lens distortion. I think Quest Link uses a slightly higher resolution to render (2016 width per eye) than Steam's 100% value, but that gets reduced a little during the encoding process.

So is anyone able to recommend a 5m+ solution that can be bought in the UK?
