I was using my oculus quest 1 with the compatible oculus brand official USB 3.0 cable, connected to my computer when it decided to disconnect for no apparent reason (not physically, as in the cable came out, just the computer stopped recognizing it). I tried reconnecting it, and since, I haven't had any luck, and every time I try it's the same. The steps I do are as follows:
1. I put on the oculus quest and connect the cable to my computer on it's GPU port
2. I press "Deny" when the prompt for transferring storage data
3. I press "Enable" when the prompt for enabling Oculus Link to my pc appears
After this happens, it briefly starts loading and then shows the message saying "PC Disconnected", and tells me to unplug and re-plug my oculus quest 1. Once I unplug and plug it in again, the process repeats from step 1. So far, I tried to unplug the device, and go to the oculus software to remove the device, and then try to add it again to solve the issue. During the setup process, it lets me test the cable's speed and performance. I have tried with two different cables but to no success, as each time, it gets stuck at "About 0 seconds remaining", and never completes the test. If I try to do the set up without testing the connection from the pc to the headset, I am able to add the device successfully. Although I am able to add it, the problem still persists and it says "PC Disconnected" when I tried to connect it to my PC. I have tried multiple different cables, which are both USB 3.0 to USB 3.0, which are the included charging cable and a 16ft long official oculus link cable. I hope I provided enough information for some sense to be made, and I will provide a summary for the problem to give a quick understanding:
Every time I try to connect my oculus quest to my computer, I go through the normal set up but immediately afterward it says "PC Disconnected" and I try to do the whole process again, but it doesn't work.
I looked through my DxDiag.txt logs. While scrolling through the logs, I noticed that there was a section named Windows Error Reporting, and it listed in some way, a program called "OculusDash.exe", under the part where it says "Problem signature", not sure if that means anything.
