Oculus Quest 2 Weird Buzzing Noise

Elairdionne

Hello, I am having troubles with the audio on my new Oculus Quest 2, whenever my headset is turned on, there is a constant low buzzing noise emanating from the speakers and it is quite concerning, does it happen to anyone else ? Also, what should I do, for some reason, I can't open a ticket request with Oculus themselves.

Hello, I'm having the same issue. I'm unable to contact the tech support page as well.

Are you sure it's from the speakers? I've got the buzzing as well along with a lot of people apparently and the main theory seems to be that it's a dodgy cooling fan.

I am having the same problem. I haven't use the Quest2 much since buying it because the buzzing happened even when using the link cable to access my pc games on Oculus Home which is why I bought it in the first place. I wanted to see what the quality was like compared to the CV1 so I fired up Project Cars2 through the Oculus App v28. I had tried it with Google Earth and a few other apps and all seemed OK, with no buzzing until unfortunately my power supply blew up. I purchased a new power supply and tried again but the buzzing started again. I notice that the Oculus App is now v29 and some of the sound settings have been removed. Could it be the updated version I wonder?

I get this issue too, I literally started up Project Cars 2 with my quest 2 via link had fun then suddenly the buzzing sound began, now it only makes the buzzing sound when I turn left nothing else just looking left with my headset creates this buzz sound and as coincidence I am on V29 also on PC oculus app v28 on quest 2. This just happened to me now

I have noticed that the buzzing stopped when I removed the headset. On v28 (the buzz free version) if I was playing music on the PC when I connected through Airlink the sound came through the PC and headset but there was a latency issue. There was an sound option to chose either Default device or Quest 2 headset. This option is not there in v29. Your problem is an odd one. Does it only happen in Project Cars 2? It would be useful if it was possible to rollback to a previous version but that doesn't seem possible. I also get buzzing when connected with the cable.
