Hey there DavidH45, thanks for reaching out! We love VR Videos as much as you, so we'll do what we can to get your experience back up to 100%. To start off, here's a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

- Make sure the lenses are clear of any smudges or debris, as this can affect the quality of an experience. Be sure to clean them with a soft microfiber cloth.

- Be sure all software, apps and drivers are up to date (if using link). You can make sure the headset and apps are up to date through the settings menu on the device, and the app store, respectively. As for drivers, you can do this either through device manager, or through your graphics card manufacturer's website.

- Adjust IPD slider if necessary. You can find the slider on the bottom of the headset and adjust accordingly.

- Perform a factory reset (will restore to factory settings and remove all data). To learn how to perform a factory reset, click here!

If any of the above fail to resolve your issue, please let us know and we'll continue working with you to get this resolved. Cheers!

I have oculus quest 2, so I have no slider. I have done all above aswell.

Everything is up to date, including the newest oculus quest 2 os, v33. I am wandering if that is the problem.

I have submitted a support ticket, for a different but similar matter. Going in circles with ticket support, and being handed to different people. I guess it is just a wear and tear problem. I also don't think I am eligible for warranty, because I live in Canada. Oh well, no matter, I am not into my oculus quest 2 anymore......

If you haven't, I would really recommend using a lens wipe (like with eyeglasses) and cleaning the lenses gently. if that does not help, make sure the strap is positioned correctly(this one had me for a while).

if that does not help, use the light on your phone to shine light *across* (not into) your lenses to see if you have any scratching on them. the reason not to shine it into the lenses is that prolonged exposure to light can damage the screens behind them.

best of luck, and don't give up yet!

Hey there Davidh45, not to worry! We have a 1 year warranty for Oculus Products in North America and Canada so if you bought your Oculus Quest 2 within the last year, you should be good to go on that front. Cheers!

thanks for your reply. I am thinking that my oculus is struggling to do the highest rez in 3d now. in another video viewer other than youtube vr, I chose 4k and the picture got weird and blury.

i am missing 2 pieces of info that I probably need for warranty.

1) Unit serial number, which can be located on the bottom of the box and starts with "1WMVR"

2) Retail receipt or invoice including item, retailer, price, and date -OR- Oculus order number

I lost my receipt and threw away the box that has the serial number on it.

btw, if I try to increase rez up to 4k in videos, the image gets blury and weird.

what application are you using for video viewing? can you use a different one and get the same results?

here is a guide on how to find the serial number.

As for order information, you should be able to find it on your account of your method of payment.
