Oculus quest update in progress loop

Any one having this issue?

I received my oculus quest last night. Once I started it up it did an update as I paired it to my phone. 

But after I finished the tutorial and tried to open oculus browser then a window came up telling me there was an update in progress and to leave the device on and plugged in.

The screen will also go black then come back a few seconds later and keeps repeating.

So I left the device on and plugged in for seven hours over night. At some point it shut off during the night so it displayed being charged to 100% when I put it back on in the morning.

After turning it back on I tried the oculus browser again and it came up with the same update in progress mission.

My plan when I get home from work is to factory reset the device and turn off automatic updates and see if an older version of the software will work.

Also tried getting around the problem by installing the FireFox browser but its installation always fails.

Just checked I'm also on version 213561.4150.0

Yeah, it's starting to appear that this is a major issue.  There's a similar thread in the developer forums of headsets being unable to update.  I've contacted support as well to forward this forum link as well as the developer section (for those with developer accounts, https://forums.oculusvr.com/developer/discussion/80750/anyone-else-with-a-new-oculus-quest-headset-s... ).

Hopefully, if enough people contact support this'll get elevated to a higher priority with Oculus.

If they don't elevate it they are going to loose customers. So ya lets hope they get it fixed soon.

Maybe if we ask oculus to give us a firmware to manually upgrade from our PC that will be Great Because I don't think it's their servers I think it's our firmware thats the problem because now I can even access advanced settings anymore

Already tried that.  They can't provide us with the firmware files.

Personally I think they should've had a manual update feature rather than "plug your headset in and wait 4.5 hours" technique, as that can frustrate a lot of people very fast.

suppose they already aware of this situation, dev team should look into it asap and find solution. even plug power whole night, it won't help. I tried already.....
