Do you turn off the Quest when done playing, or put it into sleep mode? This can, it seems, make a difference. Try turning the system entirely off when done instead of putting it into sleep mode.

The only time I lose tracking is when the batteries are low. I purchased a Energizer double A battery charger with extra batteries, Now I always have a supply ready.

I have the same issue and it was never a problem before, nothing about my room has changed.. I'll be playing Robo Recall or Alyx and my hands and head get stuck and the image sort of shifts around when I move my head. As someone new to Oculus how any bugs like this are at all acceptable is mind boggling to me, I have experienced so many software bugs that make me feel like I'm going to puke it's not cool.

I'd like to point out that unless your play space is an interior room with no windows, there are likely more environmental changes then you think. Things that I've noticed that can cause the touch controllers to lose tracking:
1. too much light (such as trying to play a PCVR game with the computer monitor turned on)
2. not enough light (such as the sun going down while I'm playing without me noticing, thus removing that source of illumination)
3. low batteries in the controllers
4. wearing loose clothing that might obscure where the controller is if it's held close to the body
5. dirty cameras on the HMD
6. leaving the HMD on for several days (sleep mode is not the same as turning it off)

I sometimes have tracking issues at night while playing, but that can be solved by adding more light sources in the living room. The single lamp I have in there isn't quite bright enough for the room, especially if there's anything partly blocking the light. Still mostly fine. More often tracking issues are caused by the batteries being below 30% power or not turning on the living room lamp when the sun is going down.
