I tried to play some none steam pc vr games on my quest 2 with virtual desktop, but only titles like Echo vr work if I run it from the virtual desktop games tab.
If I try to run the games from the oculus app on my pc I get a hardware failure dialog, why?
Can someone answer what is the issue is and how to maybe fix it?
I also tried to launch Face your Fears and it just gives me a fatal error, it's the only game in my library I can't run and it can run on minimum requirements.

Go into the stream app and select h 246 set vr graphics to medium and bitrate to 85mbps open steam app via the desktop in virtual desktop and laucn the steam games.
Virtual Desktop Apps should ALWAYS be launched from the Games tab, never from Steam (although this works usually) or from Oculus. This ensures that the game is captured under the best conditions, the controller type is presented to the game.
For steamvr games, the game sees an Oculus Touch controller, not a generic controller or HTC wand) and display resolution is set correctly.
For Oculus games, this means that the hardware drm check sees an Oculus product (in a sense like Revive) and the game launches for your Quest.)
If you bypass Games tab and launch from their launchers, you will get really odd results.
The Games tab will be populated based on the games available in Steam and Oculus.
If anything is missing, you do have the option to launch using the Virtual Desktop System tray icon.
I'm trying to run Face your Fears 1 through VD and I get a Fatal Error message. I'm launching the app from VD. HOw to fix this? Steam games work fine. FyF is Oculus Store only.
