Problems Since Firmware update

Ive been having multiple issues since the update, the home environment is very stuttery now and seems to drop framerate. Artifacts of light appear between textures kinda like in a game that isnt running well. The tracking seems to be having issues, for instance when you set the floor height sometimes the "virtual floor" drops like 6 feet below the actual floor and will not fix itself even when you put the controller down. When it does work the hovering menus seem to move around a little and not hold steady like they used too. If you turn your head too fast youl catch sections of the home environment that have not loaded yet (black).

On top of this I have 2 times now had a game crash and boot me back to the home environment. There have been no changes to lighting, or anything else in the space that I use the headset and up until recently it worked silky smooth and perfect.

One game I tried (Creed Rise to Glory) seemed to run horribly slow, as if my headset didnt meet the required specs.

Is there some way to roll back to the previous version of the firmware? Because this has gotten pretty bad. Ive seen multiple other posts like this on here regarding the update. A friend of mine who also owns a quest is having similar issues.

It's NOT firmware, it's SOFTWARE. Where are you people getting this from. Why do you make up names for things?
It's called PC Software V25. Firmware is an entirely different thing which on very rare occasions may also be updated at the same time as the software update.
It's misleading to say you have a FIRMWARE problem when you actually have a software problem.

The new update is unfortunately,  atrocious.  So many new bugs and performance issues.  I always knew Android devices could be updated to obsoletion.

I was in Elite Dangerous yesterday and the first menu in game in VR was like 20ft below me under the floor LOL...I wonder if this is related as to why.     I just did a re-enter and was fine after but never saw anything like that ever before.

I recommend using the 'Oculus Log Gather' to report issues encountered with the Oculus Quest 2 device.
I only found about this included tool a few days ago while I have encountered similar issues. I am am going to assume that this will reach the relevant QA & Development teams for investigation and resolution far faster than our posts on here.

You'll find the relevant here (your installation path may vary if not the default install)
Located: "C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusLogGatherer.exe"

Once run, set the Collection date period, and check the full logs and auto submit check-boxes, and finally complete the field explaining your issue.

I'm hoping that the more reports that are received in this manner that this is noticed and any priorities are changed to resolve any identified issues.

Has oculus made any announcements yet about a fix? It just seems like the thing feels bogged down more than it used too.

Richoal shhhh! You know what I meant quiet your face.

Nope.
I don't have a Quest so I don't know if there has been a firmware update. Therefore if you say it was a firmware update, I have to assume you know what you're talking about. Also others may think they've missed out on a firmware update and start panicking. You know millennials can't wait more than 5 minutes for anything.

With technology it always pays to get the terminology right. "You know what I meant" only works with my wife. 😉

P.S. Richooal has two o's.
P.P.S. "quiet" should have been "quieten".

If you dont have a quest why are you bothering to respond to this. This is an issue alot of people are having with no solution in sight. Dont you have something better to do?

The point of this thread is to draw attention to an issue that needs to be solved, if your a troll please dont respond. Yes its software not firmware, my bad.

Thanks, I did not know about that, I will certainly give that a shot.
