I just got a Quest 2 a few weeks ago, and for the first couple weeks, I was recieving system notifications, such as Achievements and game downloads. I even set up iPhone notifications, which worked for a bit. I would recieve pop-up notifications even while in-game. Recently, however, I am not recieving achievement notifications in or out of game, as well as all others including my phone notifications. When I press the "Notifications" bell icon on the menu, all of the tabs are empty now. My notifications are all enabled in Settings yet I still can't see them. I'm trying to get achievements in my games but it sucks that I have to exit my game and open Scoreboards just to see if I even got an achievement. Has anybody else had this issue? Any solutions?

I'm having the same issue. I've had the OQ2 since release day. This issue started for me when they added Facebook messenger and phone notifications. A lot of my friend were facing the same issue but theirs have all been corrected. I've been waiting for mines to get corrected but I'm still waiting. I have even contacted support and they are falling short of coming up with a solutions. It’s very disappointing to have to miss so many requests to join friends in a game because the messages are not coming through. Now I find myself constantly pause a game to go the chat area to see if anyone has contacted me with a request to join them in a game.

Hey there, T-H-E.Voice. We see you are experiencing issues with not receiving notifications after the update. We understand how frustrating it is to not receive messages and requests from friends due to this issue. We're here to help!
So, with this update, Oculus is aware of notification issues happening on Android phones after the update. We are working hard on resolving this issue quickly.
Regardless, please attempt the following troubleshooting steps for this issue, thanks to @XdgamerleololVR:
If this still doesn't work, please respond to your current open ticket with the troubleshooting steps you have taken. Feel free to provide any error notifications you are receiving.
We hope this helps!

I don't have an android phone. I think that there is a miscommunication on what I'm seeking help for. I'm not looking to get Phone messages working VIA the phone notification . I'm looking to get Oculus Chat message notifications working. I've been given several possible paths to correct the issue and nothing has worked. The last suggestion was to reset the device back to factory settings. This did correct the issue and in doing the factory reset it also deleted and did not restore my oculus move history. My personal preference is not to have my VR experiences interrupted by Real world communications. For this reason, I do not want to use Facebook messenger or phone notification and I have not logged into Messenger or turned on phone notifications. If this is the reason that I'm no longer receiving Oculus Chat notifications, then you have removed an original function that was available for Quest user from its inception.

Correction for the last post " This did not correct the issue"

Hi @T_H_E-Voice we're sorry for the mix-up in communication. We understand you are not seeing your Oculus Chat notifications in your headset, and this should not be the case. Some people have found that turning off their phone notifications has corrected this issue.
If this does not help, please report this issue so we can have the right team working on correcting this. We understand this is not a solution to the issue at hand, and not the ideal response you were expecting. We hope to have this issue resolved soon so you can enjoy playing in VR uninterrupted by real world communications. 🙏
