Quest v15 issues - Link unstable, Experimental UI removed, Chromecast crackling

Hi all,

Since I updated to the Oculus Quest v15 firmware OTA, I've been experiencing a few different issues.
Trying to find out if anyone has seen these or knows a solution:

1. Oculus Link has become unstable, and frequently crashes out, when using the official cable.
This worked before the v15 update. I find that using the official cable, Oculus Link can become unstable, then will refuse to work until I unplug the cable from both my Quest and my PC, and when I plug it back in, it will work. Sometimes, this also refuses to work.
Strangely, I have another USB-C cable that I purchased from Amazon that works without this issue, every time. Unfortunately its too short, and more rigid, so its really a spare cable.
Is there some logic in the Oculus Quest cable that would explain why I have to completely unplug it from both ends before it will work again?

2. The experimental UI has been suddenly removed.
I was having issues with the Link connection, as noted in issue 1, my Quest crashed completely and came back into the old UI.
Now I understand this is kind of known, and that it was removed due to some kind of bug.
Does this mean that features can be added and removed from my Quest without asking or even confirming?

3. Ever since updating to Quest v15, I've been experiencing unbearable amounts of crackling and popping sound when using the Cast to Chromecast feature. The popping and crackling is not heard from the headset sound itself, using the built-in speakers or head/earphones.
This is probably the worst issue, as I have been casting quite frequently with family and friends, and now its unbearable.
I can hardly hear anything from the Chromecast. Video seems fine. I'm using a 5GHz Wifi, and have no issues using Virtual Desktop, or streaming so doesn't seem to be my wifi.
Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks for any help.

I also am having the same issue as above, I had the problem when I first got my quest on version 14 and after a few weeks of annoying freezes on the headset it almost seemed like the headset got used to my pc and I could run games without it crashing unless I overloaded the vr which I could understand since I only have 8gb of ram. However when I updated the software to version 15 I notice that it has been crashing almost every 3 minutes now. It really annoys me because one of the largest issues I have right now and still can’t find answers for, is a clear way to fix the freezing in the quest headset it’s annoying and I feel like Facebook needs to figure out what in the updates is doing this or they need to figure out how to fix it 100% guaranteed.

I used the new UI for 2 days. I was very happy with the new casting system. Chromecast was working perfectly. I could connect and disconnect many times as I wish, and indepedently of the mobile app. I had good performance as well. My only concern was with that small library windows that was unconvenient. I wanted to have the option, so that I could decide if I wanted to use the new or the old UI. I was mostly satisfied with it.

I was pretty happy with the new UI also, which is why I was surprised when my Quest crashed and removed it. I think this might have been a forced removal, which makes me uncomfortable. At the time, I didn't understand what was happening, maybe that it was broken. Now, I see that many other people also had a similar experience of the new UI being ripped out.

The Quest Link instability issue is unreliable and inconsistent, and I've been testing to see if I can narrow it down... But so far I have only noticed the instability is more frequent when using the official Oculus Link cable. No set period or interval with crashes for me, just kinda random. I've inspected the cable and USB-C port, and I don't see any damage, kinks or other issues with it. I take care of my things, so its a mystery.
