the quest is aN ANDROID device.
FActory Re-Set should go back to "out-of-box"............Do it, Do not be scared!

if you never had a working Quest,  "out-of-box" with a charge ...return it.

I bought Quest because my desktop PC is dated. if i had had a current PC I would have no doubt bought the Rift.
As is i can use VR desktop and watch my movies and LINk; not well mind you; but. Most important stand alone Quest.

the quest is not a pc driven VR.    
But it can with limits; most of the problems  are PC and WiFi connection


if you have the PC.
try a travel "TP" WiFi router

you bought the Quest: Stand alone.

But wanted.

Rift ......

And do not have the PC to support Rift
