Recording on headset audio

Hey guys,

When recording gameplay on the headset, does anyone else have a problem where the audio is off sync? Is there a way to fix this or is it a case of wait for an update?

Cheers folks

The audio's out of sync for everyone with internal recording. There's videos on youtube showing how to fix it using an audio editor to resync everything.

There's actual apps that can demux, resync, and remux a file all in one shot for you, such as YAMB, and MyMP4BoxGUI, or you can even do it in VLC and Avidemux. It splits the audio and video streams, then either by simply recombining them, or by setting the actual sync offset up or down to match the video, then it remuxes the streams back together again, without touching the quality of the recording. Sometimes just a simple split and remux is all that's needed, but other times you have to define the offset.

I’m a new Quest owner and just uploaded my first video to Facebook which had the audio out of sync.
Reading this thread it seems to be a long-standing issue, but when I contacted Oculus support they just said to check the forums. 😕

That normally means they know it's a bug and have no idea how to fix it but can't tell you that officially

Is this from the Share option, rather than Record? I haven't had a problem with the Beat Saber recordings I've made.
