Sidequest Errors

Totally new here so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere.

I followed all the steps to install Sidequest and it seemed to go well, except for one part; when I plugged the Q2 into my PC I got two different messages about allowing access - one had more "developer" language ("debug mode" or something like that), the other just seemed to be more "consumer" and it was sort of glitching between the two. I agreed to both. Not sure if it "took" though. I still get the consumer one every time, but the developer one hasn't come up since.

Now when I am hooked up, Sidequest on the PC says I'm connected (green light) but trying to install anything doesn't work. I get various errors (javascript, failed because device not connected) and sometimes crashing of the app. Sometimes it looks like everything is completed, but no app appears in the menu.

I'm fine not doing Sidequest for now (I've got plenty to entertain myself with this exciting new device), but I'd really like to get it up and running at some point. Anyone have any ideas what's going on and how to fix it?

Update: I got it to work. Sidequest updated their app, so maybe that was the fix. Also, I realized that the apps do not appear in the regular list, instead you have to use the right-hand menu to display apps from "unknown sources" which appear in a list.
