So the latest update messed SteamVR up because of addons..

It doesn't launch when starting a game from steam, it doesn't even open when you launch it manually.
If anyone encounters this, disable all addons and test one by one which one causes problems.

I'm waiting for my Quest to get the update rolled out, and am hoping that the update will fix the Oculus Home virtual desktop.

i tried oculus games, and they boot in vr without problems.
I tried verifying the files for steamVR and it found 2 files which it downloaded, still steamVR doesn't work.
Tried reverting to the non beta version and same result.
I tried pavlov in steamVR mode, booted in a window. I launched it in oculus mode and it started right up in VR.
Did some more testing and only games with an oculus mode work, and even those don't all work. Whatever I try, steam home doesn't open anymore.
Most games you launch through steam don't load or you get the message that your headset/controllers aren't found.
The games that DO work, usually are on the oculus store and have the oculus SDK.
Games that work are Pavlov, contractors, onward, saints and sinners.

Launching unity games from the desktop is a hit and miss now too, while before all worked.
Are you seriously locking link to the oculus store?

Still waiting on my Quest to get the update (although the desktop app did update). I just verified that my Steam VR games do work though. They aren't auto-launching Steam VR if Steam VR is closed and I launched them through Oculus Home, but they are working. And the apps I was testing are not on the Oculus store.

Not sure why some find the OP post funny. Is this because he's doing something wrong? Might be best to just explain what he's doing wrong.

It's the attitude that's funny. Virtual stamping feet and dummy-spitting.

Well this is my experience, I can't be the only one that experiences this.
And it's not that i don't know what i'm doing either. Shit worked flawlessly, after the updates it didn't, simple as that.

What am I to think when only oculus games or games that use the oculus SDK start up in VR?
