SteamVR performance test says I am well above minimum specs but it's pretty much unplayable

I have a GTX 1070 8gb and an i7-8700 and I'm trying to play PAYDAY 2 VR and The Forest VR via Virtual Desktop (Quest) with no luck, the games looks awful and run at a really low framerate and even crash. People seem to be fine using much worse specs than mine, even using Virtual Desktop like me, so what's holding me back? I already made sure my drivers are up to date and my settings are pretty much as low as possible in-game for both.

Maybe your computer is connected to WiFi and you need to use an Internet cable

You need to force you graphic card to run the game using nav. app on your laptop.. you may browse on net or youtube for it.

Simple solution for SteamVR games - VRidge (https://riftcat.com/vridge).  Works wirelessly, more customisable than Air Link, and far more reliable than Virtual Desktop.  Air Link is fine for Rift games, but the double overhead of pumping SteamVR through the Rift app and Virtual Desktop etc is a bit laggy.

Can get 10 minutes trial (per "connection") and unlimited license costs only US$15 or so.  Well recommended.
