Sun Damage

Hi. Less than 24 hours after purchase, my Q2 has minor sun damage, caused by briefly walking past a sunlit window indoors. If screens are THIS sensitive to light, then I believe the warnings are not strict enough. Why not supply a snap-on lens protector or cheap lightproof drawstring pouch? Regards.

That's unlucky and what are the odds you walk past a window with the lens facing in that exact direction.

Your right it is sensitive and only needs that one direct sun blast to do the damage but on the other had i have been running up and down stairs, changing room to room with with sunlight coming through the Windows for the last 2 years without any damage or even giving it a second thought as no doubt do many others despite the fact i am well aware of what direct sunlight can do.

I will be more careful from now on though after reading your post though but even Oculus writing " DO NOT EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT " in huge letters across the box wont stop users carrying their Quest to another room or wandering around the home naturally on any normal sunny day. Its just not something you would expect to happen.
