So i am looking to buy superhot vr, as it is 51% off on the oculus desktop app, but when i logged onto my oculus quest 2 not connected to my pc it has no deal despite the deal still having 9 days left, the same thing happended with the oculus app on my phone, i want to get it at half price but i am scared to buy it as i dont use the oculus desktop app to play, only to surf the store page and talk to friends without getting on the headset, does anybody have any idea how i should approach this?

Superhot is not a "Cross Buy" game. This means the Rift store (the pc desktop app) and the Quest store (in your headset) don't share the purchase, they are treated as separate games. If you buy it with the desktop app, you can only play it on a Quest 2 if it's connected to the PC using Link (usb cable), Airlink (wifi) or Virtual Desktop (wifi).

And vice versa, buying it on the Quest 2 means you don't get it on PC (if you decide to use Link/Airlink later).

Many games are cross buy, so you do get both stores for one purchase. But Beat Saber and Superhot are two of the most common ones people run into that aren't cross buy. (It's up to the developers to choose if their game is cross buy)
