I have oculus quest 2 -everything hooks up fine! All green ! when I put my headset on to click “allow” it disconnects from computer and says “ USB NOT RECOGNIZE “. Now—for 10 minutes -The very first time I plug it in it was connected I saw the different rooms I saw the different menu -then all of a sudden “USB not recognized” - I have a ticket with oculus they say it could be my McPhee software and other things that they want me to uninstall— why doesn’t this thing work! brand new computer I bought it just for the quest 2, absolutely ridiculous!!! Since it’s a new computer I’m thinking of calling DELL and see if they can figure it out. Now oculus wants me to uninstall McPhee do another log file- do this- do that -do that -do this- it’s crazy!!!!!! and can my computer be at risk if I uninstall the security (McPhee)? This is absolutely crazy!!! A 1700.00 computer brand new bought it just for the oculus— I love how they say you can play this on your computer, but the list of problems that you can have— unbelievable!!! PLEASE HELP WITH THIS CRAZINESS!!!———UPDATE- SOLVED !!! been working with oculus support on this one- the last thing they wanted me to do is uninstall my security and oculus app then reinstall the oculus app and plug it in and run it - well it still disconnected - when I went on the headset to click on “accept” it disconnects 😳 - that was the problem I was having, connected fine on the computer but when I went on the headset to click “except” it would disconnect- so (just playing around) I went into settings on the headset and saw “USB CONNECTION DIALOG” and shut it OFF - went to connect again and WA LA -IT WORKS!!!🙏🙏🙏🥰 FINALLY, I knew it wasn’t the computer because everything is well over what they recommend -now I can download steam and test this baby out. 😃😃😃👍 Hope this helps someone else who has been having USB issues.
