Hi. Just checked out my upgraded Quest and tried to turn on the new universal menu. It promoted for a restart after enabling this but noticed between saying yes to restart and it actually restarting the toggle switched back to off. After the restart, the old menu was still active and the option to enable was now missing from the experimental section.

I'm having the same thing, and I found out you can't even use voice commands without it from my experience.... turns out they seem to not care about it, because I tried getting in touch with them by submitting a support ticket saying I can't use the RELEASED voice commands feature (Yes I am in the US) without the menu, but they ignore my ticket without saying anything and just close the issue saying "Solved" which it's not. They have no regard for helping with this, and it seems that they make things worse each update.
I wonder if enough people say same here they'll either explain it or FIX it? I'm hoping for the latter because I feel as though they've made us take a step backward.
I would like to add that I was in fact still on version 17 (so before the update) when my Quest reverted back to the old menu. It has not yet received the V18 update because I haven't left it on long enough for it to install the update.
Does this mean the menu issue is not tied to the update at all?
The old menu returned for me on an update to V18 yesterday. I re-enabled the new one in the Settings>Experimental area, but it's way too dark compared to the environment, and the Brightness setting has been taken out. Strange that some are no longer seeing the option to enable it. ?? I do have developer mode installed... not sure if that makes any difference.
I just updated one of my headsets to version 18 and it had retained the old menu. I reset it to factory with the -vol and power fix, then it updated during the initial restart to ver 18 with the latest menu .... all sorted.
