After the Update to V25 (unbelievable to release this broken version) I have tracking & stuttering problems with link!
There are so many with this problem with V25!
Is there a chance to rollback to V23? Is it not possible I will send it back & get my cash back because with V25 it is useless for me.

My  (3rd party) link speed went from 2.7 gbps on firmware v23, to 1.9 gbps! on firmware v25.  Damn.  That is a pretty big decrease.  I wonder if they're nerfing 3rd party link speed on purpose to get you to buy the official (expensive) cable.

I've had major tracking and stuttering problems since upgrading also.  I also upgraded my NVIDIA driver and tried re-installing Oculus twice with no success.

Alienware PC, Intel i7 7700K (4.5 GHz); NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (dual)

I recommend using the 'Oculus Log Gather' to report issues encountered with the device.
I only found about this included tool a few days ago while I have encountered issues. I am am going to assume that this will reach the relevant QA & Development teams for investigation and resolution far faster than our posts on here.

You'll find the relevant here (your installation path may vary if not the default install)
Located: "C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusLogGatherer.exe"

Once run, set the Collection date period, and check the full logs and auto submit check-boxes, and finally complete the field explaining your issue.

I'm hoping that the more reports that are received in this manner is noticed and any priorities are changed to resolve any identified issues.

Yesterday I drove Assetto Corsa. I have the feeling graphic looks cleaner & better as on V23.
V25 gives me lagging & stuttering especially under night & rainy condition. The FPS ist steady & perfect.
The latency is than the bottle neck on my system. With V23 I had the same settings without any problem.
May the Encode Resoltution or Bitrate is damaged/wrong or the default values (V23=150MBps) are way to high.
Setting the Bitrate to 100 makes no optical difference or better.

It is human nature for people to assume that because they have a problem, that same problem must affect everyone else. And the confirmation bias kicks in when people are able to find a few other people that have the same problem.

Are some people having issues with v25? Yes. Is everyone? Not likely. If it was widespread they would stop the update roll out as soon as it was apparent and allow you to revert. They have done this in the past. Most of us are working just fine with v25.

There are always a few issues for some with a release that get resolved in a short time. If you can't wait for that, then of course you are free to return the headset.

I also have these same problems with v25. When ever the guardian is rendered I get frame drops, and the fps are lower in general. I think that some people dont even realize they have this problem because:

A. They might have the guardian completely turned off.
B. Their playspace is large enough that the guardian doesn't pop up at all while playing.

But generally, when this number of people have an issue with a software update the issue is actually widespread. I've seen a lot of post on Reddit about this problems as well, I think there is more people with this problem that what it seems. Its the same software update after all. If you look closely you might find the same issues on your Quest 2.

people with the problems always make the most noise.  people with no issues don't post anything usually.  so far i seem to be on the happy side of this one.  lucky for me.  had a fair few problems with v23, nothing so far with v25.  haven't retried 5g wifi saying that.

How about for people like me who keep getting disconnected from Steam VR when trying to play games and the others who are complaining on Reddit about this issue. It isn't just a minority of people, I'm happy that you're happy with your v25 experience but when the next update happens and your device doesn't work properly, wouldn't it be nice if people stood up for you as well. I get that VR is in it's infancy but if my system was working fine in v23 why isn't it working in v25, the old adage, if ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind.
