So this has happened to me now on two brand new Quest 2s.
I turned on my Q2, went through set up, connected to my wifi network which showed up fine & the Q2 went through an update. I was then able to get into the main useage & all worked fine for a while until a reboot & then the Quest 2 could not see my wifi networks.
I googled, I tried connecting via the app but it kept saying incorrrect wifi credentials (they weren't), I changed setting to 5GH channel, all to no avail. So I returned thinking I had a fawlty one.
Bought a 2nd one today & exactly the same happened, it saw my wifi networks, connected, updated & then after reboot cannot see any wifi networks & thus won't go past the setup screen. On this one I didn't get any usage. Very very frustrating.
Lastly I'll add, I use 2 mobile phones in hotspot mode for my internet, this works fine with absolutly all of my tv boxes, laptops, tablets, alexas etc & the Q2 saw & connected first time round so this has to be an issue with the update?
I'm having a similar problem with mine. Brand new today, started going through the setup. Connected to my wifi network which showed up fine, but a few seconds into the update process, it started getting all jittery and then said couldn't find wifi. Now it won't detect any wifi networks at all. I tried connecting via the app as well but it kept saying incorrrect wifi credentials for me too, even though they are correct.
After a hard restart, I am able to detect it and connect again, but again, after a few seconds of updating, it says it can't detect it anymore.
Hey Steve, could you try turning off all of your wifi networks and try to use your mobile hotspot? I just tried here and it seems to work at the moment. I think the Quest is just really struggling with trying to understand my usual wifi network setup. Not gonna keep it like this, but just good to know that it might not be the Quest itself (since I don't wanna go through refunding again)
I have now turned off all Access Points that were using mesh and now am using the router, which just gives one network. And it's working well. I think the Quest's wifi gets confused when you have mesh in your home. No idea how I will fix this, since I want to use the Access Points as well. But I'm going to try some things.
I'm not sure about others having this problem, but I don't have a mesh network. Also, for context, I have a Occulus Go that works fine on the current set-up.
