Seriously its is really bad i cant run my game corectly i play virtual desktop at high wich is 2496x2592 per eye and on air link i run 4480 x 2256 for the 2 eye wich is 11% lower and i just cant run my game and on virtual desktop its fluid with a 11% lower resolution i have like 30% less performance but why???
@MadDugQc Pretty hard to say without adding any of your details. However, if you have a desktop 3070 (I seem to remember this is what you have) or better and have the recommended router/wifi setup I don't think there should be too much difference between AL and VD right now. Personally, I prefer AL with my Q2/rtx3090 because I think the colours are better and I find that most games run smoother, and are all compatible.
Also depends on your refresh rates. The sweet spot for me is 80Hz and I find that this works well, even with fast racing sims. I also avoid using any motion smoothing like ASW or SSW because all this does for me is add a lot of artifacts. If you insist on using 120Hz refresh rate then you may be better off using VD with SSW enabled. This may do a 60/120 motion smoothing thing (60fps with an extra frame in-between) a little better than AL right now.
With AL, make sure all your ODT settings are defaults or zeros, except enable link sharpening. With the oculus home dashboard I suggest you use 200mbps Dynamic bitrate. With my Q2/rtx3090 at 80Hz I'm able to crank the res slider all the way right and the clarity is fantastic, but not much better than VD High settings. To me they look between High and Ultra.
