error message when attempting to play Oculus on Virtual Desktop

No matter what I do, when using Oculus on the Virtual Desktop with my Quest 2, I get the following error message,

“Oculus Hardware Error

You have a pending hardware issue that is preventing you from entering VR. Please check that your headset and sensor are connected”

I do not get that error playing SteamVR games using the Virtual Desktop, only Oculus. I followed the wiki instructions on how to set everything up. Everything seems to go OK until I launch an Oculus game and I get that pre-mentioned error. I built my system a few years ago, but seems like it should be OK. My system components are, EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 gaming, ACX 2.0, 6GB, Intel Core i5 6600K, Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4. My router is a Netgear R7000 connected to my desktop via Ethernet, at Gigabit speed on Xfinity. I just purchased my Quest 2 a couple of weeks ago so I’m new at this. I would very much appreciate advice as to what may be the issue. Thanks

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having same problem.

I7 2600K

W10 on SSD

13ft USB 3.0 cable with USB 3.0 slot

Radeon RX460 4GB

32 GB RAM

I did get it resolved, it was an oversight in the settings on my part. It appears you are trying to connect using a cable. I'm using Air Link so my solution may not apply. My problem was the Air Link setting was not enabled on the Oculus desktop app. On the desktop app go to settings-Beta-Air Link, and toggle Air Link on. Also on your Quest headset go to settings-Experimental Features-and toggle on Air Link. There is also a great Wiki on the Reddit Quest page that is very informative about connecting to your computer.
