hi folks,done the mod as i have the htc vive with deluxe audio strap which i dont use often,what a difference it makes to the quest so much comfier and sounds a lot better also,would deffo recommend if you can pick one up as the quest before i done this was putting real pressure on my forehead and cheek bones !  ordered the vr cover aswell so looking forward to that,just thought i would say folks its really good with the deluxe audio strap and very easy to do

I find it even more comfortable with the 20mm replacement padding for the DAS itself. Hugs my head like a glove.

I just did but that was because I bought an index and no longer needed my vive. It works good but still puts that pressure on your cheeks. I noticed ithe quest was basically the same size and weight as the original vive but I never had the comfort problem with the vive. I took the spare pad that came with the vive and put that on the quest which helped another 5% but still not perfect. It deferentially is better overall but still not perfect.

i find it way more comfier for me and hope it will be even better when i get the vr cover replacement,how did you get that spare vive pad to work ?

with the spare velcrow tape I used for the mod i placed it around the spare quest frame, the spare vive pad already has velcrow on its backend.

ive got the vr cover coming for the quest so that should do the trick ! ive also got a few spare face covers i got for the cv1 when i had it and some vive face covers aswell,they should all fit as they Velcro on,u buy these headsets then you have to pay out extra to make them comfy haha,hopefully in future we will get the ultimate vr headset that u dont need to modify or spend extra on
