Lol no, the MX250 is a low-power mobile chip, you will not be able to use it via Oculus link.  Generally Link requires a desktop GTX 970 or above to get playable frame-rates in games/apps.

The Quest 2 does not require a PC, so you can have an Amiga 500, and your Quest will still work.

Thanks! Can it be used without a pc as the comment below suggests?

No problem.
Just have a look at all the games/apps available in the Quest Store. They are ALL playable without a PC.
Quest 2 by itself is a great VR device but remember, when you do have a PC that is suitable, you can use a "link cable" to connect to that PC.

I didn't really get it... I currently have a pc with anMX250, should I buy the link cable or not? Will it work if I do?

Absolutely do not buy the link cable, it will not work.  Stop trying to read into nonsense about clock speeds and look at driver support clearly posted in the oculus link support section.

You will go thru a lot of hassle of it not working at all.

I guess something similar has happened before, but I believe most observers consider it to have a really low frequency of occurrence.

As Richooal said above, you don't need a PC at all to use the Quest 2. Its primary purpose is stand-alone VR, which means it can run apps from the Quest store without needing any external connection.

However, it can also be used as a PCVR headset, by connecting it to a VR-capable PC using a USB cable (Link). In this mode, you can run VR apps from the Rift store or SteamVR on your PC, just like you would with a Rift. To do this, you need a reasonably powerful gaming PC with a GPU that is on the Link compatibility list. An MX250 will not work for Link.

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.
