For the first time,WIFI can be connected, but the update is still at 50% for 12 hours. So I reset the factory setting, and then I can not connect the WiFi.So I have not activated my new Quest yet.

You have to have a VPN to connect Facebook service in China

I don't think there is a VPN connection in the Quest, so it will need to be setup on a wifi router (I think), can some one come in with an explanation ?

Yeah Facebook is banned in China so I would imagine you'd need to somehow use a VPN in order to connect.

You are right,The key is router VPN.I can not find the VPN of PC and Mac in China. For these reasons,Oculus is not popular even though it is cheaper than other manufacturers.

From what I've heard, VPNs aren't completely banned, but you have to use the ones that have been sanctioned by the government, and then only used for business or research purposes, not to access websites or services that are banned.

To that end, I don't think routers would include a sanctioned VPN, so unless you can source one from a non-sanctioned supplier you'll have difficulty, not sure what else anyone can advise on here.

Do you have friends who use VPNs? for improving lag in on-line gaming for example? any of those use a VPN router?

No friend use VPN rounter .

Game accelerator, only be used to play games.

There is a phenomenon:
In China,I can visit this forum without VPN,but login and visit “www.oculus.com” must require VPN.

So,I think the key is whether QUEST can use VPN.

Now I do not know if I need VPN to update and download VR games. If yes,It is so terrible.
