"Tracking Lost" Crash Coming Out of Sleep Mode

(Quest) - Guessing this is a V19 update bug?  If I'm in an app and take off the headset briefly, it goes into sleep mode after a few seconds.  Putting it back on used to wake it up and I could continue on with the app.  Now, I get a tracking lost screen with no way to continue on.  Hoping to avoid a factory reset or firmware update (as read on another partially related thread).  Guess I'll wait for the next Oculus update.  Are a lot of other users experiencing this?

Ah, thanks, Icepick!  I searched for "Tracking Lost" and must have missed that thread.  Too bad no solution to the glitch yet.

set the quest to never sleep in the options... but beware if you forget to put it into sleep when you take it off, the battery will be dead when you come back..

Pokerstars does the same , if you take the headset off to go anywhere (toilet), when you come back your game has crashed, its done that from day 1

I have the same issue. I got my Quest last month, and I allways lost tracking when I put it in sleep mode. I contacted Oculus support, they asked if I was playing in a well lit room, I said yes, they said it should not happen... long story short they actually sent me a new headset. I have had the new headset for two days now and it is happening again. I am even playing in a new room now. A very well lit room. Nothing wrong with the lighting, and the tracking works very well before I put it in sleep mode. Very sad that this keeps happening. It would be nice to be able to just take of the headset to go to the bathroom, or even to download some apps, without the headset going crazy when starting up again.

I have the same issue, but for me its only if I'm playing a social game such as Rec Room. Usually restarting it is a bit complicated, but it'll only take 5 minutes at the max.

Thx for the tip on disabling sleep, ezop73... may try that.  What's been working better for me the last couple of days is quick-pressing the power button once to go into sleep mode that way, versus just taking it off and letting it go to sleep due to the visible light to the sensors.  Hasn't been perfect, but way better.  Hoping for an update, though.

Same problem. Oculus has not replied and this problem has been NON-STOP. I do not want a factory reset and we DESPERATELY NEED A FIX, OCULUS

I get this same issue since I updated to v23 on my Oculus Quest 2! If I take off my headset and come back, I get this message and I need to restart the Oculus Quest 2.

I am having the same problem. Can this be fixed via software update or i just have a bad unit?
