sending in my quest 2 256 GB model back in

Later today I am mailing in my Oculus Quest 2 256  GB model cause it kept losing tracking.  Has anyone gotten any delays with getting this model back ? 

 

This is my first time having to send away my system for something like this.  I am really hoping my vr headset will be back in time before Christmas.  I tried asking if there have been any delays lately but I couldn't really find much info besides what they already told me. 

 

I heard about people getting delays on other models.  I have some concerns. Will my VR set still get to me before Christmas or will I have to wait till after ?  I am still under warranty.

Yay My refurbished replacement Oculus quest 2 came in the mail yesterday. I gave them an amazing review for that. My replacement came to me on December 9th. 😄 So I am finally back to beat saber and my other games.

I've a feeling that it's the 64Gb models that take longer to replace. My sons 256Gb was replaced fairly quickly (7-10 days) after an extremely lengthy wait for authorisation to send it back. I suspect lots of people discovered that their 64Gb headsets were faulty soon after the 128Gb was released and hoped for a free upgrade.

how long did it take for the authorization to happen ?

Probably 6-8 weeks and several support tickets from the unit failing to the return label arriving. In fact, I suspect it was only because I posted the ticket numbers on here that things finally moved.

so that means I won't get it back till janurary. I was really hoping to get it back before Christmas. So much for that.

It took 6-8 weeks to get to the point of mailing it back. It sounds like you are at that point already so I'd expect it to be quicker

Fed ex says my old headset will reach it's destination on December first.  While twitter says my replacement VR set should come with in ten business days. So I don't get how much closer it could be.  I also asked on twitter if they had my model in stock. The person on twitter said that they got the model I have in stock.  regardless this still has me nervous considering the issues I have seen other people complain about how slow service is sometimes.
