the oculus quest is awesome

stop trying to get more than you paid for.
it "quest" is an Android base smart phone,,,but no phone.
stop acting like it should rule the world.......re-set to factory when you get done trying to sidequest every thing

Generally, I agree -- but there are some creature comforts that would really improve it without changing its fundamental nature.  Some easy examples:

1. machine-washable face pads (aftermarket ones are very hit-and-miss, sub-par quality, etc.)
2. exFAT support (for >4GB files on thumbdrives)
3. better dark room compatibility (why not bathe the room in IR when the lights go out and use that for tracking?)
   
4. extended battery life (as you said; but note, this is achievable with any number of USB battery packs...)

I do the IR thing at night, do you think that doesn't work? It works super well. It helps to have two different lights so you don't blindspot yourself, though. Can go outdoors with it too at night if I want, but mosquitos are bad this time of year so ehhh

Also, we're not usually trying to get more, we're trying to get it to work at all for the functions presented and having consistently working things break only after an update is very annoying, especially after having that broken thing be fixed in an earlier update already
