The easiest fix would be to create something like those ugly ass hyperskin controller skins. But with a bit more oompff too it. That would also solve the slipping of the battery cover!!

Dude, I love you! That's exactly what oculus had to do after designing these mini touch controllers. Thank god for mamut!
