honestly im beyond sick of this. Its every update WITHOUT fail. I run the setup and everything is fine. Before the update my headset worked flawlessly. Now just after guardian the setup quits and i get a hmd error. WHY cant oculus just give cv1 users a final stable release instead of constantly updating their spyware just to annoy people. 3 times now. every time i have had to spend days messing with software to get it to work. and every update screws it up. safe to say im staying WELL away from anything oculus. their software is abysmal. I have attached a log in case it helps but im starting to think its not worth anyone's time. There was NO need to update my software. I restart my pc, I update mobo drivers and i DDU and re install nvidia drivers but nothing works. Thanks oculus!
Update: Still not working and Oculus have said that because I'm on windows 7 its not their fault that they forced an update on me that broke everything. So now im stuck without VR

Jupp! The sold you the Rift as "needs Windows 7" and then they disabled the support for Windows 7.
Of course, AFTER you bought the Headset and the Games.
That´s a scam, a ripp-off.
The exact same happened to me.
My solution: i restore an older backup and edited the host-file in windows.
Now i am able to play all my already boght games.
No more fuxxxxg updates from Oculus.
Now i can´t download any new games from the oculus-shop.
But guess what: I didn´t care!
I am done with Oculus and will never ever buy anything from this company!

What? You don´t have one? Uhhhhhhh.......
Maybe it´s enough to replace some folders with old ones, but i can´t say for sure which ones.
